📣 Julia Unfiltered

“Resolutions” is a swear word in my house.

Not because I don’t believe in goals or growth or getting better.

But because every single January 1st for as long as I can remember, I’d set these big, lofty resolutions with all the pressure and fanfare of a rocket launch.

And every single January 11th? Crash and burn.

Like clockwork. January 11th was when I’d realize I’d already blown it, feel terrible about myself, and spend the rest of the year carrying around this low-level guilt about being a quitter.

Sound familiar?

But a few years ago - I think it was 2022 - something shifted.

I was sitting in October, looking at my calendar, and had this wild thought: What if I didn’t wait until January 1st?

What if I just… started now?

It felt almost rebellious. Like I was breaking some unspoken rule about when you’re “allowed” to think about the next year.

But here’s what happened when I gave myself permission to start early: it felt like practice instead of pressure.

Instead of building up this massive expectation that January 1st would magically transform me into a completely different person, I could test things out. Try on some goals and see how they felt. Were they too much? Too little? Actually doable?

It was like the difference between a dress rehearsal and opening night.

And now? October is my cue. As soon as we hit Q4, I know it’s time for what I call “Pre-Q1” planning. Because if we don’t start thinking about next year by early November, we’re screwed.

Halloween hits, and suddenly it’s holiday season. Thanksgiving prep, Christmas chaos, family visits, end-of-year deadlines.

Everyone’s still working, but let’s be honest - our brains are half-checked-out until January 2nd.

So why would we wait until January 1st, when we’re exhausted and overwhelmed, to make our biggest commitments of the year?

That’s like trying to plan a wedding during the reception.

This year, I’m giving you permission to start early too. To think about how you want to finish 2025 strong and what 2026 could look like - while you still have the mental space to actually think clearly.

Because “F” resolutions, right?

Let’s do something that actually works instead.

That’s exactly why the Future Proof Her Business Summit is happening October 20-22 - not January.

While everyone else is still in denial about how fast this year is flying by, we’re going to get ahead of it.

Three days to review, plan, and set ourselves up to finish strong and start stronger.

Because the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time? Right now.

Let’s make “Pre-Q1” your new favorite season.

💭 Viral ChatGPT Prompt of the Week

Before you plan 2026, you’ve got to step into the version of you who’s already crushing it.

Copy and paste this prompt into ChatGPT to meet your “Alter Ego CEO” - the version of you who’s confidently finishing 2025 strong and stepping into 2026 even stronger:

"Help me create my 2026 alter ego - the bold, focused, unshakable version of me who’s ending 2025 on a high note. Ask me 3 questions that will help you give them a fun, empowering name (like a superhero or secret identity), describe their daily vibe, and list 3 things they do differently that future-me can start practicing right now."

✨ Sometimes the best way to start strong… is to borrow a little confidence from your future self.

Entrepreneur Like A Girl

Hi, I’m Julia Taylor, CEO & Founder of GeekPack. I grew up hearing “like a girl” as an insult. Now? I wear it like armor. Yes, I run my business like a girl - and that’s my superpower. Because building like a girl means your rules, your rhythm, your future. Not the 24/7 hustle playbook. Not someone else’s formula. Think smart tech, small wins that stack, and a business that bends to your life (not the other way around). Each week, I drop practical tips, geeky tools, and mindset shifts straight into 20,000+ inboxes to turn overwhelm into action. And with GeekPack’s bigger vision - 1 million women equipped by 2030 - we’re not here to play small. Because when you build it like a girl, you build it to last. “Your newsletter is one of the very few I read every single week. I faithfully open it and read it - the content is excellent, the design is great... the whole thing is an entire experience.” - Jen Myers, Founder, Homeschool CEO.

Before Monday’s training, let’s do a quick fun self-assessment. Which of these revenue patterns feels most familiar right now? Revenue Pattern #1 The “Good Months… Randomly” Phase “I had a great month… but I don’t know exactly why.”“I think it was referrals?”“It just kind of worked.”“I wish I could recreate that.”“I hope next month looks like that too.”“I don’t know if that was strategy or luck.” What’s really going on? Revenue is happening… but the actions that produced it weren’t...

You answer the email. Fix the issue. Handle the client request. Jump on the quick call. And by the end of the day, you’re exhausted… but did you actually move revenue forward? Welcome to react mode. You tell yourself, “This is what running a real business looks like.” And to be fair - some of it is. But when urgency becomes the decision-maker in your business, revenue-driving work loses… every.single.time. Not because you’re undisciplined or lack strategy. But because urgent things scream....

Ever have one of those months where you’re working at a 10… but revenue feels like it’s operating at a 4 or even a 3? Yeah. Me too. March 2025. Exactly one year ago. My team and I used to send weekly Loom updates sharing our priorities and working hours for the week (hello, remote team). I remember my working hours that month very clearly: All the time. Early mornings before the house woke up. Late nights after everyone went to bed. Weekends carved out for “deep work.” My calendar was full....
