are you free Monday, March 23rd?

Ever have one of those months where you’re working at a 10… but revenue feels like it’s operating at a 4 or even a 3?

Yeah. Me too.

March 2025. Exactly one year ago.

My team and I used to send weekly Loom updates sharing our priorities and working hours for the week (hello, remote team).

I remember my working hours that month very clearly:

All the time.

Early mornings before the house woke up. Late nights after everyone went to bed. Weekends carved out for “deep work.”

My calendar was full. My to-do list was overflowing. I wasn't slacking off.

But here’s what I couldn’t figure out:

  • How could I work that hard and still feel behind?
  • How could I be this busy and still not feel good about next month’s revenue?

And here’s the question that kept me up at night (besides, you know, actually working):

Am I just… bad at business?

Because that’s what it felt like.

Turns out… no.

What I didn’t understand then was that my Effort-to-Revenue Ratio was completely F*d.

There’s work that keeps a business running.

And there’s work that actually grows it.

The problem is the work that drains the most time and energy… it’s usually maintenance work.

Emails. Client requests. Admin. Fixing things. Updating things. Responding to whatever’s loudest that day.

It all feels necessary. Responsible, even.

But it doesn’t compound revenue.

So you end up making longer to-do lists, trying to be “more productive,” consuming more content looking for the missing insight… hoping you’ll get to strategy once things calm down.

But things never really calm down.

That disconnect - between effort and actual growth - is exactly what I’m breaking down in my upcoming live class:

>> Get Your Effort-To-Revenue Ratio Back On Track <<

Why Your Hard Work Isn’t Turning Into Predictable Dollars (And How to Fix It)

I’ll show you:

• Why this happens (especially to smart, capable women running real businesses)
• The lie that keeps you stuck in react mode
• And what actually shifts your effort back into alignment with revenue (hint: it’s called a Revenue Rhythm, and it’s simpler than you think)

If you’ve been working hard but still feeling financially unsettled, this will hit home.

Save your seat here - it’s free, and I promise it’ll be the most valuable hour you spend this month.

Let’s get your effort working for you again.

Julia

P.S. Join me live Monday, March 23rd at 12 PM ET. I’m breaking down why your hard work isn’t turning into predictable dollars - and exactly how to fix it. Save your seat here.

Entrepreneur Like A Girl

Hi, I’m Julia Taylor, CEO & Founder of GeekPack. I grew up hearing “like a girl” as an insult. Now? I wear it like armor. Yes, I run my business like a girl - and that’s my superpower. Because building like a girl means your rules, your rhythm, your future. Not the 24/7 hustle playbook. Not someone else’s formula. Think smart tech, small wins that stack, and a business that bends to your life (not the other way around). Each week, I drop practical tips, geeky tools, and mindset shifts straight into 20,000+ inboxes to turn overwhelm into action. And with GeekPack’s bigger vision - 1 million women equipped by 2030 - we’re not here to play small. Because when you build it like a girl, you build it to last. “Your newsletter is one of the very few I read every single week. I faithfully open it and read it - the content is excellent, the design is great... the whole thing is an entire experience.” - Jen Myers, Founder, Homeschool CEO.

Before Monday’s training, let’s do a quick fun self-assessment. Which of these revenue patterns feels most familiar right now? Revenue Pattern #1 The “Good Months… Randomly” Phase “I had a great month… but I don’t know exactly why.”“I think it was referrals?”“It just kind of worked.”“I wish I could recreate that.”“I hope next month looks like that too.”“I don’t know if that was strategy or luck.” What’s really going on? Revenue is happening… but the actions that produced it weren’t...

You answer the email. Fix the issue. Handle the client request. Jump on the quick call. And by the end of the day, you’re exhausted… but did you actually move revenue forward? Welcome to react mode. You tell yourself, “This is what running a real business looks like.” And to be fair - some of it is. But when urgency becomes the decision-maker in your business, revenue-driving work loses… every.single.time. Not because you’re undisciplined or lack strategy. But because urgent things scream....

Over the past few years, we’ve hosted 13 virtual events and supported 70,000+ women through summits and online experiences. Virtual is powerful. It scales. It works. But here’s the thing (especially in the age of AI): Every leap in my business happened in a room. Chicago in 2017 - I went fulltime on my business Connecticut in 2018 - I launched my first course Kansas City in 2024 - I spoke on stage, said our 1M vision publicly, and initiated our partnership with Verizon Every time I invested...
